Chris Willemse Cycles is a family business.
Our founder, Chris Willemse Snr, still runs the shop. He was a national champion in three age categories, the first of which he won on his 15th birthday. Today, CWC is one the biggest suppliers of cycling parts and apparel in Africa. But we didn’t start off this way. CWCycles began as a small operation in Paarl in 1977, and Chris Snr had to work very hard, both on and off the road, to achieve success. We’re proud of our humble roots and our work ethic, and this is part of the reason that we’re proud to be a sponsor of tomorrow’s champions at Team Contego.
We’re glad to provide spare parts and services for the bicycles used by the guys and girls on the team. We do this because we like working with dedicated individuals who approach their sport with passion and with drive, and we like hearing the latest commentary on equipment straight from the athletes themselves.
Mostly we do this because, in Team Contego, we see a little bit of ourselves.
