Team Contego consists of a wide range of riders – each with their own unique assets, abilities and personality. This is the great thing about the team…unity through diversity.
Being chosen as a member means you join in the mission of the Team – either competing at professional level (Pro Team) or semi-professional level (Elite Team) while the youngsters (Junior Team) will compete to gain experience as part of developing of Youngsters.
Erik and Ariane (Luethi) Kleinhans combines with Mariske Strauss, Adriaan Louw and Louis-Bresler Knipe to represent the Team on a professional level on the national and international scene. Adding to the mix Sakkie and Hannes Hanekom together with Brett Chillcott form the elite team with the Junior team including Ivan Venter, Tayla Odendaal and Sybrand Strauss.
Team Contego has a visible presence at most of the marathon and cross country races across South Africa, while Erik and Ariane Kleinhans and the Hanekom-brothers are regular faces at stage races like the Cape Epic, Joburg2C, Sani2C and Cape Pioneer.
